Description
A high-volume, compact and convex shovel nose keeps the Flying Carpet Powsurfer 150cm easily afloat and allows the rider the option to creep up and ride this board in more forward weighted positions. This board gives a high-speed aggressive ride that can hold speed well thru flats and mellow terrain. It’s traditional sidecut, length and light taper give this board a more snowboard-like feel in the turns, but it’s high volume nose and extra waist width combined with our CDC 3-dimensional base make it feel as though it’s floating on air.. hence it’s name. It’s rounded tail and longer sidecut create a nice balance of agility and high speed stability.
A great choice for bigger riders and riders in areas where the snow gets deep. It can also be a great solution for riding deep snow in more mellow terrain. It’s a solid cruiser in the steep open terrain and can hold it’s own in the deep and technical terrain as well. The Flying Carpet Powsurfer 150cm can handle the shallower and more variable snow decently but when depths get beneath 5-6 inches (13cm) you may need to stick to mellower angled terrain for best control. Performs well riding backwards but keep the switch turns light as the convex nose can be a little slippy when it becomes your tail.
Standard Width option – recommended for US mens boot sizes 8.5-11 and rider weights between 140-240 lbs (72-109kg).
Wide Width option – recommended for US mens boot sizes 10-12 and rider weights between 140-260 lbs (72-117kg).
X-wide Width option – recommended for US mens boot sizes 11-15 and rider weights between 160-280 lbs (72-127kg).

If you’ve snowboarded for awhile, skateboarded, even wake-boarded…THIS IS FOR YOU!! I have a few powsurfers now, but the FC was my first & is my “GO-TO” many days here in the Tetons. A lot of surface area and is literally a “flying carpet” in pow. A definite quiver keeper. I’m 6’4′ 200lbs, & went with the WIDE 150cm FC. I recently took this board through a long powder-filled gully w/ steep banks and cruising through it on this board was like carving in a huge bowl, floating, rad feeling, way different than a heavy snowboard. Do yourself a favor in 2023 get a Surfer. #freeyourbind

I am 6’1 (185cm), 180 pounds (82 kg). Size 13 foot. My dirtbag snowboard obsession has recently been reconstructed by powsurfing. After spending 2 seasons on a FC 140 and Slasher 140, I was frothing for something to plow me through the deepest of days here in the Tetons. I was torn between the Big Fish 150, Megalodon 150, and FC 150. I went with the FC 150 XW. This thing is a dog gone tank. It’s a totally different feel from the little sister FC 140. The FC 140 felt like a poppy pow slashing little skateboard compared to the 150 xw that pretty much plowed through anything and held fast high speed turns. I ‘m pretty sure that I rode the FC 150 more than 15 days just in February last year during a record breaking month that the Tetons produced. Very thankful for such a perfect tool to get me through the deep and super deep!

I’ve been riding the 150m Flying Carpet this last year, freakin love it! I’m a bigger dude and this rides perfect, low angle, steep, doesn’t matter. I purchased the Splitsurf version of this board and I love this set up! It makes it hard to decide when picking between my normal splitboard or the splitsurfer. This board is a bit longer but tracks well on the uphill. I have only ridden this board when we had over 10 inches of new snow, however, it was a dream. If you’re looking for a smooth, controlled ride, with help on the uphill, this is the board for you.

Hands down my favorite board, I’m 6’3’’ 180 and ride dry bottomless snow in Colorado. The 150cm flying carpet keeps me afloat and charging in the deep pow. Surfing mountains is the best feeling!

Hello, I just returned from a week at Baldface where we were doing some R&D and a catalog shoot. The conditions were all time which meant as much Powsurfing as we could possibly handle. We had about 4 different Powsurf boards on our cat from a few different brands and my choice after riding all of them was by far the Grassroots boards that were up there. It got to the point where we had to play paper rock scissors to see who got to ride the Grassroots boards!!!
