Description
The Grassroots Coil Powsurf Leash with Quick-Release uses a unique formula of urethane and a specially designed hollow cord urethane to maximize the stretch to 12 feet and that acts to minimize the recoil force inherent to typical coiled leashes. These are NOT the typical Chinese made leashes you will find everywhere else. These are the best you can buy and are proudly Made in the USA. Our design allows the board to maintain a safe distance on a fall and helps keep it from snapping back and hitting the rider. Stretches to 12 feet, coils up to only 3 feet.
We recommend attaching your Powsurf Coil Leash to a belt or pack to keep the leash from dragging and catching on trees, rocks & other hazards you encounter at the snow surface. The Grassroots Powsurf Leash with Quick-Release is constructed of our own blend of super durable UV stabilized urethane, stainless steel and nylon webbing. The black, blue or pink aesthetic looks great with any of our powsurfers or any other snowskate, mountain skate, pow skate, snowsurfer, mountain surfer or noboard.
We’d like riders to realize that the leash is likely the most dangerous part of powsurfing. You could get wrapped up in that leash and seriously hurt in the event of an avalanche or really bad fall. For another layer of safety use with our Grassroots Safety Belt to help the rider detach the leash in the event of an avalanche or a tangle from a bad fall. Please don’t let this give you a false sense of security as there are many other ways an avalanche can kill you aside from strangulation from a leash. Ride and travel wise if you find yourself in avalanche terrain.
We offer our Coil Pow surf leash without the quick-release mechanism here.
**Please do not use shoelaces, and ropes that have not been engineered with your safety in mind!
See the best powsurfers in the world using our leashes in our short film series titled “The Powsurf Chronicles.“
Sam Strait –
Made the mistake of buying a short leash that attached to my leg from another company claiming “powsurf leash”. Got knocked the f*ck out by my board. Somebody obviously didn’t think that one thru. I feel much better with a longer leash, attached at the waist and the hollow core seems to have a lot less recoil than that other piece of crap. All leashes are not created equal
