Powsurf Chronicles Episode 4 Big Waves

The Powsurf Chronicles Episode 4 – Big Waves

Grassroots powsurfers are designed to fuel progression in every way possible. Ripping big mountain terrain is no exception. In fact it’s one of the things they do best. Maximum agility, high speed stability and precision control is crucial when riding steep exposed terrain. Our boards pass the “big wave” test with flying colors. With bigger and steeper terrain comes bigger risk and serious consequence. This makes the feeling of conquering these big lines that much more awesome.

The Powsurf Chronicles Ep 3 – Living The Dream

As young skateboarders growing up in the 80’s we always dreamed of “skateboarding in powder.” True passion and drive to achieve that dream is the reason that Grassroots Powdersurfing exists today.

Snowboarding was born in an attempt to “surf the snow” and evolves daily by following the style and progression of skateboarding. For us, the limiting factor of these attempts was obvious (bindings). So we stepped back and got rid of that limiting factor. This simple step along with years of experimenting with shapes, sizes, and various builds has brought us to where we are today.

Surfing and skating the powder has become our reality.

The Powsurf Chronicles Episode 1 – Low Tide

Early season riding and times of low snowpack have had a major influence on why and how we surf the pow. This season has been particularly dry in many areas across the globe and people are jonzing for decent riding conditions. Getting creative, finding new ways to look at terrain and taking advantage of what you DO have is what it’s all about.
